Hell you really are having problems getting those IC hose's to stay put, you've done a great job of putting it all together and their still coming adrift, that really would drive me mad! How's she holding up now with the new hose and clips?
Yep, I've just got the two ISV hose's to change and mine will be sorted, the rest are a mixture of OEM and Roose all either new or in excellent condition.
On tyre size's I've tried 215/45's, 225/45's as well 235/45's and find the handling best all round on the 215's, however that could well be the tyre's as opposed to the size, I've only tried 215 R1R's. Yep tramling is my biggest bugbear but I find there's more feedback with the narrower tyre's and obviously acceration is better due to gearing/weight/resistance.1989 B3 2.0 3A 80 quattro... That would probably be a better setup, but this is what I have, and I would like a short intake manifold one day.Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

Having a read around the mikalors are ok on perfectly straight joints due too their width, but jubilees are better if any misalignment, squint pipe etc.
Also the mikalor clamps are much wider, so less pressure and more likely to slip apparently.
I need to find some good jubilee clips, oem style 10mm wide, ones I got on ebay were wider.
Different tyres/tread patterns do make things change. Makes sense that 215s are tighter/sharper feeling.
I also like some rim protection from wider tyres, for oops moments
There is a big difference in acceleration going from 235 17s to 205 16s, and also in steering sharpnessCurrent-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

I used Norma narrow band clips when I did my build, very similar to the OEM and on some of the big pipes where I had no swage I just used 2 clips, never had any failures. Not the best prices on ebay I don't think but I can't remember where I bought them from.

Top mount time again
The used Meyle HD with a new stock top mount, a bit squashed.
I decided to add a lock screw to the compbrake top mounts as I did not want them loosen under suspension compression;
Add a nylon ball, bit of old chopping board etc to protect the threads, then pop in a bolt (grub screw would look nice for the final one)
Then had an idea for a bit more compliance
However then only get 2.5 turns of engagement
So mod the top mount?
I need to work out if there is enough material to do that.
Big bag of jubilee clips, thanks to Newsh for the heads up
Coolant, pair of new knock sensors and new drop links
