Nice results, not bad for a China IC.
The angle of attack on the impeller blades is pretty sick, that design makes the surge line shift a bit as well if used with the std. cover compared to previous version.

Just needs more grip lol, how that bloke earlier didn't turn and look at the noise from the exhaust I don't know, he must have been deaf or a citroen driver.

Yep although he has to force the ECU to add fuel after 5000rpm as the MAF tops out at that point. However by placing it on the pressure side it doesn't suffer the same turbulant shockwaves on throttle closure and the air is slightly warmer so the MAF takes less punishment and is less susceptible to breaking.

I've discovered a new problem though where I'm going to have to fit a vacuum relief valve on the breather system as the turbo is literally sucking so hard on the crankcase that it is syphoning the oil out of the engine even with the oil seperater. It never did this on the old engine and it didn't do it on low boost but now the prolonged 4000rpm power band is causing an issue again as it doesn't give an opportunity for the seperater to drain back inbetween gearchanges with the 6an drain. Unfortunately there is no way I can weld a new fitting onto the sump without a lot of grief so a vacuum relief valve on the catchtank is got to be the way to go.

could you PM about the setup? I'm got the same breather setup so I will run into the same issue

Not necessarily, none of the other motors have run into this problem with the same setup and I never had a problem before either.

The only difference I have is I welded on a 6an oil return line fitting which is smaller than the 15mm tubes welded to the seperator. What I should've done was welded on an 8an line so the return didn't become a restriction. So I've either got to hacksaw of the fittings and put a rubber hose on. Put a larger less restrictive air filter on so it doesn't suck as hard on the breather pipes or put a relief valve in so when the vacuum exceeds a certain amount it opens and just draws air in from the atmosphere. Basically I became my own victim by trying to make things look pretty with braided lines.

using a similar principle from your setup JP, i have the cyclone and the catch tank, tank is always dry as well as the turbo compressor side, the cyclone has a return of 16 or 18mm i think and also a one way valve connected to it so as when on boost if any pressure is generated in the sump for any reason, there is no oil coming back up.

although i do get a tiny smell off once on long boost runs, there is a very good separation with the system. My tank also has an internal mesh, to act as a secondary separator, but not too elaborate. However, i havent todate seen any hint of oil in the tank. Everything goes to the cyclone and back to sump. Cyclone seems to be staying pretty empty most of the times as well, although im not terribly happy with the location of it, as it does a 90deg.bend as it exits from the cyclone before turning down to go to the sump.

Let us know how you get on with it.

Yes unfortunately I have no space for a maf on the turbo inlet side. Again one of the reasons I'm running a mushroom filter. And an rs4 maf on the pressure side would make a horrible boost run. So unless loosing the stock management I have to stick to what I have. :-(

No room? Due to how your exhaust manifold positions the turbo? From the picture in one of your posts it looks like you could easily fit a 90 deg bend in there, and then another 90 deg to face to the bottom, to prevent hot air getting sucked in.

Had no problem fitting the MAF into a GTX3076R stroker, nor into my friend's GT3076R (now HTA3076R) car. They had to fabricate a bend with holes for the N75 and the dump valve, but it worked perfectly on both cars.

On a HX35 car we even managed to keep the stock airbox, by modifying it to accept the larger MAF. I have pics if needed

Down I got the oilcooler and sideways I got the catchtank. The airfilter comes straight forward to receive air from the grill.

I think Dmitri is not saying to put the MAF on the pressure side, rather on the proper side. If i were to keep the motronic, that is the route i would go TBH.
