And without feeding the ego's of the lads at Quattro Coachworks too much the money shots

99% there, the indoor light doesn't do the colour justice nor did any of the interior shots come out. However all being well the car will be polished and badged up later this week and taken outside for a proper photoshoot.

Final turbo plumbing all done now. Only a heatshield left to do and some bracing to support the turbo.

Hopefully this works, if you click on pic it'll take you to photobucket.

Basically a little vid of the intake upto 3000rpm whilst checking everything still runs after half a year . Will have to excuse the poor sound quality as it pegged the phone mic.

    Hy tanks for your replay.

Mine does not have any HKS logo on it. Only a cheap sticker on the big thumbscrew which is to big it don't even fit and already fell off in the box!

I will try to sent HKS a mail to see what they say.

I painted the gold bit black and the chrome mesh black too.

The bit that looks different though is the rolled lip on the intake trumpet. The originals as shown in my pic has a nice trumpet with rolled edge. Your one appears to not have this likewise the countersunk nuts are not proper spline inserts. Nor has it got the hks logos printed on the inside of the surround so without bursting ones bubble everything points to it being a fake.

@ Jonny, I've also seen upto 300whp losses on the hks filters. The problem is people are buying copies without realising. The copies have issues collapsing where they are clamped onto intake hoses, also the trumpet radius is not nice causing unnecessary turbulance. Likewise I keep seeing really dirty filters in them they need keeping clean at all costs or you instantly choke the turbo.

We've tried dyno runs with and without them with maybe 10hp differences at 700+ figures with clean filter setups so not overly worried.

As for breather back into the intake it first runs through an oil seperator that drains to sump then through a catch tank that filters out moisture. Not 100% foolproof but the gains made by applying a vacuum to the crankcase by utilising the suction of the turbo outweighs the losses from the air quality loss once filtered. If you just vent to atmosphere the breather vents need to be so large to maintain atmospheric crankcase pressure on a stroker that you end up stinking the car out with oil fumes even on the shortest car journey.
Had a look at my HKS today. It collapsed And 3 allen-bolts are missing. And the nuts ware loose in the filter !!!!!

Of course i did order a original filter and paid original money for it. So i sent my photo's to the shop.
Thy say its not possible to mount the filter on the turbo. That is why my filter melted.

But after looking at your pix mine looks very different. Can you tell my if i have a original HKS filter? If not..

    Sorry for Off-topic. Nice car!

Just come back from quattro coachworks ish and his brother ray worked with me till 6:30 to get her of the ramp and on the floor. Loads of niggly things still left to do like fit rings and badges. Tailpipes need sorting as unfortunatelly exhaust place was closed today. Roof spoiler needs fitting and roofrails tightening down and the car given a good clean and flatten and polish.

So taken a couple of temporary pics on my phone that I'll upload later on along with a little video clip. All I can say is chuffed to bits what they've done with the car couldn't have asked for it to have been any better.

Now I'm going to have a shower, dinner and wrap stuff for the kids

breather setup spot on. Mine returns to the air filter tucked under the shield on the front left of the picture
