I noted what you said about the coil pack conversion. I have been thinking of doing this myself,but I guess you are going to tell me not to.
I hope you find the cause of knock . I dont realy understand what it is you are using to determin single cylinder knock.

Only ordered the camera last night Lou. I'm sure the 5 coils conversion is a good thing to do and it has probably shown up issues that were there before.
Motronic monitors which cylinder is knocking using the 2 knock sensors on the side of the block, PRJ is able to see that info with his software.

I have seen people spray into the throttle body holding the car a 3000rpm etc.
My dad had a spray bottle, hose and a nozzle on the end so you could spray it from inside the car.

You could get a water meth injection kit
Have a google and see what you think.
A cylinder with a slight coolant leak can look like it has been steam cleaned. A lot of the people running water/meth have noticed the clean combustion chambers.
You could also wait and see if there is a noticeable difference with a camera before trying anything.Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

Tried swapping coilpacks 4 and 5, no change. It has to be something physical with that cylinder

Having said that, if you keep it above 4k it goes pretty quick

Maybe a long shot but i had some problems similar to yours.
It turned out to be the screws that holds the dizzy assembly was loose.
At certain rpm's it did some weird stuff.
This is assuming your still using the dizzy for hall pickup.
