haha, it looked too dull!
i had to have something to indicate Marc's help in all this!
i doubt it will stay a lot on there, as it is not lean surface and it doesnt seem to stick well.
only downside on the mat is the way they pack it which creates those odd looking lines. It should have been in a roll.Comment

TODO:
Oil feed line seems to be leaking slightly. Will arrange to have it replaced soon.
Cam cover gasket replacement after i get that F$^& bolt released!
Plastic hose at the heater hoses at the back of the engine needs replacing as it is slowly leaking coolant there. Already ordered and booked to replace.
Airbag wiring loom ordered to replace the one i have, in hope that the airbag fault code will dissapear. I have already replaced the passenger side seatbelt and checked the pass.side airbag to see if there would be a change. It hasnt, so i think its a wiring problem.
The amount of leak i see from the turbo line, is very tiny, coming from the 90deg bend on the fitting. It had become loose and after tightening it and wiping it away it seems to slowly keep coming back, but ever so slightly. This could either be the remnants of oil in the screw, or the is some kind of damage there that is not sealing 100%. Its not making a mess, not even reaching the turbo as far as a leak is concerned, but i want to be safe on this one. (good old GT500 is on the move!). I suppose it is safe to drive this way. I willl also order today a new restrictor as well as this one i have also had some markings on the screw.Comment

Managed to get the bolt out today at my local trusted garage people. Got a plastic hose replaced as well.
I managed to get hold of the airbag cable tree and there is a plug there which is unidentifiable to me. i hope it does connect somewhere, as it definitelly does not connect to the airbag ECU. There is no other wiring loom for passenger/driver airbag combo, so it should be right.
Upon changing the cam cover gasket, another bolt decided to eat away the cyl head alloy screws and it doesnt lock anymore now! Damn this thing is cursed!
This is the solution for now. Longer bolt along with a locking nut which barely can squeeze in there, and it does hold and locks now to 10Nm. Before that, the new bolts i bought in the first place from the internet snapped! jeeez!
anyway here are the photos from todays work.

Airbag light is now fixed finally! Tots came to the rescue and sent me a full cable tree for my airbags. I only had to change the plug from the passenger side igniter to its plug(under the driver's shelf) and now the airbag light hasnt come on for the last 5 days! yeah!
March service includes:
Front brake calipers replaced(with new ones), old ones already sold
Rear calipers replaced with refurbished items from GT500
Brake pads and shims all around
Brake fluid and bleeding mercyless...
Another brake bomb to try out in case brake pedal feel is not up to the reputation...
Turbo oil hose check and possible replacement
A/C hose weld attempt.
FARB poly bushes to fit.
ECU upgrade to 1.1.88 coming soon (hopefully) to see if some little bits have improved or not.
Once again id like to thank GT500 for all the time and effort he puts in for my car, regardless of his busy schedule. I only wish i lived/worked closer to him.. (dont know if he would wish the same! haha)

Still up to my thread title...
here is what the pile is coming up to:

Rear's are already done by GT500
braided hoses are on their way(precaution replacement really)
Still waiting for the KN crankcase filter and just got today the PCV valve and one way valve from stealers.
PS: By the way i remember reading a thread in this forum regarding some caliper refurb that Rob does and some people were not satisfied because the paint had gone on top of the dust seals etc.
The calipers in the photo are guarenteed NEW and i can see the same thing on them. Paint is on some of the dust seals. I presume that the calipers are painted following assembly and therefore these can be seen. Therefore there is nothing wrong with the way Rob does his refurb. Im happy with that.Comment

All parts have arrived and ready to mount!
A catch tank KN filter is now used as a temporary solution to the tank problem. Once i get all hoses and stuff measured, i will use the fumoto valve to drain the tank. (thanks jeffer!)
New calipers/pads/shims/brake lines get fitted on Tuesday and hopefully Rob will be able to mend the A/C hose as well. That way i can really put VEMS and it's idle settings to the test! (+ have some A/C in june at my europe trip. Might be needed!)Comment
