Alignment done, tyre replaced, funny enough front clamber was ok now when it was way off before and I suspect the squashed 034 top mounts may have had something to do with it, and rear camper was slightly off but could not be brought in. So maybe the lowering has some effect there. Anyway, it drives nicer now so time for some miles!!
After a short trip to Scotland and back, i must say im enjoying every bit of the car.
unfortunately the algiment is slightly off, as the steering wheel is pointing slightly to the otherside, and i have booked an appointment to have that rectified.
Rear right side seems to cause a squeek from the suspension and im not sure why, but it seems to have been there before, but now that the springs are shorter it happens on all bumps. I have ordered some spring sleeves to try and see if it will make a difference, although im not convinced that this is the cause.
car did roughly a 24.8mpg (11.5l/100km) consumption on mostly motorway runs with spirited driving. I have adjusted the lamda table a bit after my cruising driving and hopefully it should be even better.
In regards to the exhaust system, im flirting with the idea of a well resonated system full 3inch, as im finding it harder to get someone to copy my 2.75inch tubing and replace them with the 3inch ones. Apparently, according to the guy who did the exhaust in Greece, the resonators have 3inch internal diameter while the tubes are 2.75inch in order to keep the noise down. So in the future if i ever wanted to get the car to a 3inch he would do it. So i may actually go cheap and wait to see if i will drive to Greece next year around summer time, in which case i will have that replaced.
Looking at the photos makes my decision about the springs always more difficult....
and funnily enough thinking of getting rid of the front bumper lip... opinions?
First thing i noticed when i looked at that picture was the ride height, looks perfect to me with an even height front to back. Splitter isnt my cup of tea, sorry.

Yeah splitter is coming off. I think it may ne rubbing at the back it suspension is squeaking. I'll tackle
The second with a bit of copper spray this weekend.
I agree with Mark, ride height looks spot on. I don't really like the splitter either, and IMHO blacked out headlights look naff, much prefer the clean OEM look. Otherwsie the car looks great. The RS4 style mesh looks good
ride height is fine, but rear wheels may be rubbing unfortunately. So im either looking at going back to the 225 option or back to normal springs.
edit:
looks like the sound is more like a squeek rather than a rub, so im hoping to get away with simple solutions such as copper spray and maybe spring sleeves... we shall see!!!
Have to echo thoughts... I originally liked the front splitter, seeing the front shots, but it doesn't fit the lines of the car IMO. It looks better without.
Ride height looks perfect... I'm always looking at my car parked up and thinking it sits too high on stock springs! Yet the ride comfort and clearance are handy so for now it stays as is.
