What force is required to open that valve? Is it spring loaded?

probably a light feather to close.with the compressor boost the valve closes and when the suction of the turbocharger is greater than the flow rate of the compressor, the valve opens

Nick, no I don't know, but when I get a pressure gauge fitted that measures the intake pipe, it will give some info.

Des, it's just a gravity- and pressure controlled flap, no spring. It just opens of vacuum/airflow when the turbo outflows the supercharger.

did you solved the fuel cut problem thomas?
i realy like your twin setup mate, maybe i build this to in the future on my car but I fear I have no room for the compressor because I still have the radiator next to the intake
i'm curious for the dyno results

Seems to be the VEMS fuelpump output failing. I have just bypassed it for now. Don't know who will repair it or change the output..?

why not just use a relais to give power for the fuelpump and injectors which closes with the ignition on? i'm sure this will work
vems can still make a fuel cut by injectors if necessary

Thomas ... mass respect for the build
I realy admire your manufacturing skils ... and kinda jealous on your garage tools

took me a while (few days) to go trough topic ... got some good laughts, too

wanted to tell you about fuel lines ... I used nylon when was swaping the engine
it's much easier to route them trought tight openings used for oem fuel lines
I used original metal lines from urs6 only for connection to filter and tank
lines are 10x1mm cross section but they have different sizes, of course

that 3rd plastic line is for lpg

similar story with flexibile brake lines for calipers ... there is a guy in my town working with hydraulics and he makes custom brake lines
those are teflon core with inox mesh reinforcement on the outside
maybe you could find someone to make you those things next time ... works for all liquids and oil lines too

                  keep up the good work

                    Thanks Marko.

Did a small update to the breather. I have used only the block breather, no outlet in the head, and that have caused oil to spit out in hard launches because the oil in the sump are forced to the rear... Well, I did add a outlet on the valve cover and routed it to the oil separator. Needed to weld on a extra fitting on it. Used AN10 fittings and hose. A parts store 100m from home started to sell AN-fittings and weld bungs, so no need to order from ebay anymore. Good thing is that they are also cheaper than ebay ones.

Did also put a new return line to the sump. Old hose was just some basic air hose, that seems to not hold against oil very well. Now it's little overkill.

I wanted to put the cam cover breather on top like that, but the stroker engine is taller and it hit the bonnet

Yea, not much clearance left between the fitting and bonnet in this setup either.

Well, no cuts anymore when the pump control is bypassed.

I had the same breather problems with oil being forced out the block when accelerating hard. I just use the head as a breather now. I drilled the pipe in the rocker cover and use that as a vent.

                                Nice swirl pot and drain.

Stock rear vent surges under launch, block vent surges under hard right hand bends.

I am going vent purely from the cam cover, drilled the tube to use as a vent, into swirl pot with drain to sump, then vent from swirl pot to catch tank, fingers crossed this works.
