Yes, that's correct. The comp wheel is custom manufactured for the Fin-Turbo shop. The turbine shaft is a Holset, 12 blade. This is a 700+hp turbo. How much +++ I don't know? But if 700hp have been exeed with the stock 40 super, I'll guess 750-770 wouldn't be too hard for this one... The internals are lighter than on the HX50 family so spool should be a lot better, maybe not much different to the stock 40 super. We will see...

the record that I know of on ANY hx40 variant, is a DSM 2.3L Burscher Built motor making 685 AWHP @42psi on e85 but on a 0.63 hotside!!!!

oh yes quite a bit more, although dyno differences can be huuuuge, so big number taken with grain of salt haha

that is a good bit bigger compressor! ill have to look into this for my round 2 upgrades

A different store sells a 66mm billet comp wheel for the HX40. Don't know the exducer size though... wanted the smaller size as it can effect spool if too big.


The IM throttlebody piping is finished. ISV, IAT-sensor and throttle cable bracket fitted.

When is your dyno test going to be at?

I havn't think about to test it again. It shure would be interesting to see if there is any difference with this IM compared to the stock one... dyno cost 60e... If it flows better, then there could be issues with going to lean at the top end..?
