Some pics of the head, combustion chambers are also re-shaped , there is more room around the valves and the casting is smoothen down.

Nick, the turbo may theoreticly be a 900hp turbo, but how much for real, I don't know..? It is quite old school after all. I was going with Pro52 turbo(1300e), but then I found this for 300e so I wanted to try it. Quite easy to change later if not happy. I was thinking of a pressure/vacuum actuator for the valve, it could be operated with exhaust backpressure.

The release bearing has a custom 01E fitting plate and a bushing to fit the pressure plate right. Did buy the whole kit used, PnP for AAN.

thomas i think the turbo is to big for a I5 20V engine. it is very laggy and a minimal powerband.
K27 with #13 housing and with a good compressor wheel is good for more than 800hp....

What spec would that custom K27 be, must be some $hybrid$ turbo? No way a stock would be good to 800hp. K31 shouldn't be more laggier than a Holset pro55.
I'm still going to use the supercharger, and with the quick spool valve a #20 divided housing would be size #10 at the spoolup range. Of course there is a chance that this is a really bad turbo, and may not work good enough on a I5, but can't tell if not trying it.
