One other think I've noticed is that when its slowest/leanest it shows more boost on the dash too. I.e; on the mapped ecu if it's 2.3 on the dash it runs well, if it runs poorly it shows 2.5. On stock it's a similar story but lower figures. Leak from N75 to wastegate? -
I would say it's not normal.
So it's a very fast chopped tff-tff-tff-tff-tff-tff-tff?
That sounds like a leaky WGFV or a leak where the WGFV plugs into the MAF hose, this would also allow unmetered air in.
You can get a crack in the WGFV where the spigot joins the body.

The only way for unmetered air to enter the system, once you're on boost, is via the MAF hose and the hoses that connect to it.
The MAF hose itself.
The hose to the WGFV
The hose to the DV and the DV itself.
The PCV system hose that goes through the cam cover and round to the one way valve.
The crankcase via oil cap or engine oil seals.Leave a comment:

Well I'm assuming that's what I can hear. I faint hissing that states and stops very quickly depending on throttle position. Usually when coming on boost.Leave a comment:

Some of the things I spent on we're a waste of money but frankly, some stuff I don't regret. For example, silicon boost hoses, TFSI coil conversion, MAF pins in the plug for example I don't. They must have contributed to a slightly future proofed, well running car.Leave a comment:
