I'm sure that was something else!?!?

I doubt whether the flywheel mark is inaccurate but it is a PITA because there is no definitive/positive TDC. Its all down to what kind of view you can get of the marks.

    Right,

Checked again the WG pipe, definitely on the correct way,

Removed entirely the exhaust, no restriction there!

Removed and stripped the airbox, everything is as should be in there

Stopped any possibility of the MAF to turbo hose collapsing, no change in LOAD, AFR or performance

The valve timing appears correct (using the flywheel mark) Is there and way the marks can mislead?

Other than the above, am I right in coming to the conclusion that the LOAD figure of this car is significantly down because of a tired MAF sensor?

Of course even if there is no visible outward sign of damage its not beyond the realms of possibility that something has been left inside it like a rag! Doesen't explain why substitution didn't solve it though!
Still a thorough physical examination (external and internal) won't do any harm I guess.

Yeh I must admit, I did think that. However I'm willing to try anything at the minute especially since I've not tried that before. The intercooler, crossover and hoses are all new items so I'd be surprised of any blockage there. The air filter is new and I've had the Airbox out a few times for various things and that appears exactly as it should. The exhaust is also new and although I'll double check tomorrow I'm positive the WG pipe is on the correct way around. After that I guess I'll try a new Bosch MAF and see what the readings are then?

Can't say I have heard of a stock hose collasping on a stock car otherwise it would be common knowledge but who knows. If there is a massive restriction where could it be? Do you have a metal or plastic crossover pipe? It's conceivable a metal one might have been damaged by something but unlikely a plastic one.
Not sure if the Maf reading is low because the engine cannot physically draw in enough air although that is consistant with a restriction somewhwere in the induction system. That does fit with our on the car theory.

I have pleanty of pipe at work so shall try that tomorrow. Failing any restrictions or pipe collapsing might I be looking at MAF sensor??

How is the 'load' figure calculated?

The main body of the hose just gets sucked flat by the vacuum. On upgraded cars it has even been known for the hose to get sucked into the turbo.

Needs to be a tight fit and not be able to slip down and block the ports for the N75 and DV.
Is this a common thing to happen? Which part usually collapses?

    Need a boost log.

Probably exhaust blocked (flexi inside out), restriction in intake or engine timed wrong.
ive checked the timing countless times by the flywheel mark and the camshaft markings. Both pulleys are also new Audi. Is there any way this can still be out?
Is there any kind of table/chart of what the load should read on a standard car? Or is that a bit of an open ended question?
Thanks for looking at my shot. Can't tell you how pleased I am to hear that a related reading is definitely wrong!

Back to the plan, have you had a look in the tank for a crisp packet yet?
