That was the plan after hopefully starting the engine for the first time. Filled up the oil no issues but sprang a leak from the rear of the block when I filled up the coolant. It’s not the hose but I think it might be the black plastic plug which the hose connects to. Can’t get access to check the Allen bolt is tight so given up for tonight.

You should replace it with a aluminium fitting Dave. It is a must do upgrade really. If it had gone when you had been driving it would have been game over for you motor and that would be sh-t. I think I got one from rusty but I don't know if he still does them.

They are on ebay at around 40 ish pounds. Just make sure get the right size. I think the side which goes in the block is common across all the engines but later cars have a bigger diameter hose. It's still worthwhile doing the swap but are you sure it's got an o ring on the current take off? Leaking a lot when it is not under pressure must mean a big hole somewhere!

I would strongly recommend the same Totally not cool if it goes while on the road.

There's I guy here in Finland that does them. At least he did a year ago. If Rusty doesn't have them anymore, let me know and I will arrange you one
