Any updates?

Nothing really worth an update. Boring stuff like cleaning the exhaust ready for fitting, fitting the glove box, bonnet pull, radiator brace.
I'm waiting for the billet coolant flange from Error404 then I can re fill with anti freeze and run the engine for the first time. I'm also waiting on the brake pipe brackets that go on the front struts from Colesy before I can do the final pipes to the front brakes, fill and bleed them and the clutch. I did buy a B4 servo on gumtree so I can do the brake servo conversion at a later date.

The resistor plate has been reassembled after painting and cleaning but I tested my horn and it wasn’t making much noise so I’m on the lookout for a good pair.

The paint was perfect under the crud. The blue part is aluminium. The black holder cleaned up nicely and has been painted in Bilt Hamber two pack on top of the zinc primer.. I did think about painting the exhaust after cleaning but decided that would be a bit too OCD

For some reason the RS2 back box won’t connect to the down pipe. The down pipe end is 66mm and the middle box 60mm. I’ve had to order a reducer connector.



So, had a few small repairs to do on the seats.




Bought this repair kit.


I will let you know how it goes.

The down pipe runs from the turbo, down through the bay, has 2 flanges and fits to the cats. Then there’s a Y piece after the cats to make a single pipe. I think there’s supposed to be a joiner between the cat output Y piece and the rest of the system?

I don't think I'm missing anything as the length is spot on. I have everything you state, as above but possibly the last section of pipe before the middle box has been adapted to take a larger bore aftermarket exhaust? I am informed that the standard join here is 60mm to 60mm. The last bit of your pipe is defo 66mm!

That’s weird, maybe I’ve accidentally given you the cats off the RS4??

Looks like they might be off an URS6?

This may also explain why it’s a bit close to the tunnel on one side and very close to the subframe.

Has anyone use an S6 down pipe and cats on an S2 Avant before? Is this going to work or do I need to take it all apart and start over?

I’m just about ready to turn the key for the first time. I was doing some last checks and found this vac pipe not connected hiding underneath.
Any ideas where it should go?

That clamp at the rear should be a 65mm. I had to replace it on my car. I got mine from Tradition
