So do I use it with aftermarket stereo? I can't find a Gamma!

If you use aftermarket stereo you must use line out for rear speakers. Not the speaker output.
Do you even have the original speakers and amp in the rear doors anymore?

Just saw that the other half of plug is connected, but does not have any wires in it.
In background i can see a white wire, which should be aerial/rear speaker amp remote signal.
Is this white wire loose or connected somewhere?

The white wire is not connected. It was under the carpet with the aerial wire and came up with it.
Not sure what you mean about the plug connected but no wires?

Black plug. Male and female part are connected togehter in the pic. Pull them apart and put the white wire back in there.

I have been offered an Audi Delta radio from an A8. Has anyone BTDT? I know its wider than the Gamma and I will have to trim the cage but what's the sound like and is the wiring a straight fit? It's free!

It might not be what you're after as it's not OEM, but the period Blaupunkt head units suit the interior nicely in my opinion. I have a 92 Blaupunkt Frankfurt in mine and I think it looks great.

i found a thread here started by Error404 and Becker units. They look super cool and apparently the sound is very good. I'm going to look for one.

Becker very good...suits the dash very well.The illumination is a red/orange and again a good match for the dash lights.
I had one that had sat nav inbuilt, turn by turn display. Its basic but works well if you don't want to use a separate nav.

mine also had bluetooth... to hook up the phone and stream music....

Probably too late as your after a Becker now, but you can fit the Delta stereo out of a 80 cabriolet,....... fits perfectly.

Not too late. Nearly bought a Becker on fleabay last night!
Good to know. Gives me more options. Seen a few being broken recently.
