Yes that is a 7A part. The S2 part looks similar but no hole.

The hid lights weren’t working so they had to go. I had to fix the hole left with a grommet and some panel bond.

I had a right job getting the bonnet to open properly. I wish I had never removed the strike pins! That held up putting the headlamps in as they block access to the spring release.
Anyway, lights go in



The nearside indicator is cracked. Anyone got a good one for sale?


Coming off the axle stands tomorrow. Yippee, can’t wait!

Very busy day today!

I took her off the axle stands. It was scary and bit by bit. It wasn’t so heavy when it went up on them!


Then all the torque settings to do.


No pics of me doing the wishbones. PITA!

Then out she came


And all the dust was washed off.


At some point in its “barn life” the windows had been open. Not good!


Gave everything a good scrub.

And blow dry!


I am missing one of these


And could do with good ones of these


I have a few issue to sort. The clutch pedal is reluctant to return and the bite point is very low down. It is also difficult to engage reverse. I’m going to try bleeding it again tomorrow. May still have some air in it. If not, it’s probably the master cylinder as I haven’t changed that.

Just a quick thought whilst the front wing is off have you cleaned out the trap at the bottom of the carbon canister? When I replaced mine it was so clogged up it can't have been working for years

No. I didn't know there was one there. Does it come off easily? I will have a look tomorrow. Cheers
