So.... the above information about the seats is WRONG!
I shortened the wrong leg. I chose the outside one, it should have been the inside leg.
The seat sits too far outward so there is no room between the cover of the seat (and
electric buttons) and the door card. There is 4cm of room left between the seats and
the center console.
Now I have the cut it all off again and move it over by 4cm. This means that I also
have to swap the front feet over again as that is a 4cm difference...



Now I put the anthracite seat in the car it seems that I have the blue fabric seats.
Also put new (Audi Tradition) heating pads in. Working nicely.

What a bloody nightmare having to redo the drivers seat... I hate doing job's twice.

Those seats look like my black leather S6 ones in my C4, though mine aren't electric.

Ah well. I'll cut the bases apart again and my mate will reweld them.
I'll take some pictures of the passenger seat when I fit the heating elements.

Finally had some time to spend on the Audi.
Work, vacation, other hobbies, a house, two daily drivers take up a lot of time!

It turns out that the electric C4 frames cannot be modified to fit the B4 chassis.
The width needs to be taken out on the inside guide, but that means the fixture
of the seat belt interferes with the frame of the seat...

So I ended up just swapping the manual passenger seat frame from the B4
to the C4 seat. That is very straight forward as described in the topic on here
about the C4 seat swap.
The electric base of the driver seat can also be swapped, it just needed some
light trimming of the aluminum seat pan of the C4 set and a 24mm bushing for the
inside mount. I cut the threads of the stock bolt and drilled an 8.5mm hole so
I could use a longer M8 bolt to cope with the 24mm extra length needed.
Using the head of the original bolt as a washer.

Wired the C4 buttons to the stock motors (the height adjusters work opposite).

I hadn't fitted the heating elements in the passenger seat, so I also did that. Swapped
the original back covers with the nets to the C4 seats. Straight swap.
Really happy with how it all turned out, although I imagined a different route to
this result ;-)
If I ever find an electric passenger seat (or UK drivers seat ;-) ) I now
know how to get that fitted and working. Apart from the base, I have
everything.

I have sent some emails sent out on re-trimming the armrest, but haven't
had a reply yet. In the C4 the armrest has an offset with a plastic spacer.
This space has to be removed completely and the bush that fits into the
back rest trimmed accordingly. The armrest is as wide as the whole space
between the seats hahaha

Found a nice original black trim for the drivers seat on eBay.
I spray painted the beige from the donor seat, but it came out too shiny with a satin spray.
Resprayed it mat, but kept coming back satin.
Much better now.



Also scored a phaeton right engine mount for the vr6 swap.
A member of a Facebook group reported that it works on the 80 V6.
For only 18 euro it's worth the gamble.

I've said it a couple times already "I'm about to start the under side and suspension overhaul" and I am about to say it again hahahaha
Sorted a lot of other stuff with the daily cars and the house, so there seems to be some time avaiable for the Audi!

A side question:
I've always wanted to fit a black roof liner, but I am afraid that the black lights, sunvisors and grips aren't available anymore.
Any thoughts on this?

I had my headlining redone lately, and I was thinking of the black colour for it as well. The black handles/lights turned out to be a little hard to find, so I gave up on the idea. I think it would look great in black though.

That's exactly what I was thinking/ expecting.
I'll put some time in finding some black parts, if that fails I'll stick with the standard color and have it redone.

Then logos need to be lasered after painting.
Does leave the sun visors. These are some kind of vinyl I think.
