What else can cause this low oil pressure? What oil pressure do the others with strokers have?

Oil pump is new, for the time beeing the the one way valve is cleaned and looks like new (it is simply a plug with a hole with an o-ring and spring)

I took the valve again off and checked it! Works fine and is super clean.

Still I get 0.8 bar at idle with warm engine. At 1500 rpm I have 1.8 bar and so on.

What should I check? Can it be that further use the pressure will rise or is it something else? Can it be that the sender is faulty?

if it is of any help, in my car when everything was renewed, i had much higher oil pressure. Could it be that the pump is not right(although new)?

          With 10-60 oil?

What also make me wonder is that although I have 0,8 bar pressure the oil pressure warning light doesn't show anything that leads me to believe that maybe the pressure sender is faulty...

no, with 10W 40 as we fired the car for the first time. then yes with 10W60, but on warm engine 5 to 10 should not make a big difference. mine was never below 1bar even on when i first bought the car, with a cracked head

today i got to check the timing on the car. Without an inverter instead of 66 degrees TDC after the trigger it was 64. Have done it like suggested with a plain timing pistol by making a table full of 0 (zero).

low oil pressure is not good.

have you check the pump and pickup. surely a blocked oilway would cause an increase in pressure.

run 10/40 as per audi destructions. my mate had an urs4 and run motul in it and had iol presure warning issues. too thin. use the proper stuff.

ive had this noise or similar too. was a cam issue. chenc to ensure you have the buckets seated correctly and the cams uniformly tightened down. dont over lube the cams when putting them in. dont lube the lobes.

This pickup pipe is now 8mm longer and the plastic thingy is approx 1mm from the oilpan bottom.

I am going to remove the oilpan (i have oil leak from the pan gasket) and also remove the girdle because i have fitement concerns (dont trust the machine shop so much for correct spacers). I maybe sell the girdle also....

Q: Can someone check on a 7A head what is under the position were i had the hole?

Depends how far in it is, looks like it might be just on the edge of the head gasket.

I have a question here: how much time does it take till valve seats etc are "bed in" after a rebuilt?

I want to make a compression test to my new engine and what to check if the approx 400km that I did is enough to show corect results.

                            400km is enough.
Most "bedding" take place the first hour.

id be more worried about getting good ring seals.

do a test, then put a tad of oil down there and do it again. see what the differences are

today i took the sump out since i had a leak and desided to remove the girdle because i was not sure the machine shop did the measurements corectly and i dint want to risk it. Installed ARP main studs.

the girdle will be up for sale soon.
