Regarding the fuel, i alternate between tesco99 and shell v-power as and when i can get it, with a preference for v-power. Not sure why though, as the car feels exactly the same on both and i've never had a problem (apart from when Shell, not Tesco, put 95 in the v-power tank )
The car was mapped on v-power that was a couple of weeks old (should make no difference) and the dyno run was on tesco99, given there is no shell garage in Aylesbury.
I will get a road-run on the same tank of fuel and compare though.

Andy if you do a road run and send me some data I can do the virtual dyno for you as well and compare with the numbers you have from the actual dyno

That would be good since then if you find issues (boost leaks, bad fuel ect) you have VDR and Zeitronix and you can compare/interpolate to the Dyno dynamics (dyno and logs).

Will do
on road you can't feel 20-30hp diference, but on dyno you can see it .
It's 50-60 hp difference. These engines lose a huge amount of power as you go richer than 0.78 lambda.
And at the lambda he is running it's basically choking it.
I will find a log, but I checked the map logging from Zeitronix and the ECU and I deffo didn't see such rich mixtures. I'd dial it out right away if I would.
I think the problem is either some boost leak, bad batch of fuel, or too much timing in certain cells of the timing map that only get visited on the dyno.
Regardless, since the logging is needed for development of the raspberry pi carputer, it will be a good thing if I can send in an updated map with the logging active!
Had a chat with Andy last night... good torque figure, but it's dropping off at the top end like my #6 hotside so with a #8 and 2.0 bar at the redline (vs my 1.6) he should have a good wedge more power at the top end, that curve should just keep rising, if the fuel was being burned it would do!
Andy's got zetronix so my advice is take it out and do a 4th gear pull to 6500 and see what happens. If it's normal on the road it would point to something amiss on the dyno, and a bit of virtual dyno would be a good indication. If the drop in AFR is reproducable then it's introduced after mapping and needs a check.
After mapping I had a few niggles, mostly hoses that worked a little loose, remember you're putting car tyre pressure in and then releasing it every time you wind up the boost. Clips might not budge on a pressure test but real-world is far more brutal.
Tad lean at 6500 rpm, so added a wee bit, but gets you the idea.
Pretty sure the rich mixture is either caused by a boost leak or by ECU reacting to knock.
Ive ordered a chip programmer and some more ECU chips, plus i already have an EPROM eraser, so will get Dmitri's diagnostics mode on the ECU which will aid massively with diagnosing issues with the car and allow me to proceed with my Raspberry Pi datalogging system
I also need a passenger to log a run on the road. I need to find somebody brave enough, but perhaps wait until this snow has cleared

I was in the UK for a few days..I would have volunteered but not in the snow

Wussy, you sit in the passenger seat and I will drive it in the snow.
