Ok, I gess I havn't seen non-modified stock valves at all. My valves looked like this when I got a look at them:

Your pic looks like intake valves. The exhaust ones have a wider end to them, as per Sonics pic.

Ooh, ok. Like I told, havn't seen what the valves look like originally. But yes, they are intake valves in the pic when you compare to the head seats. What was I thinking.

Took the head, bottom end, downpipe, turbo, zeitronix kit and a few other parts up to cumbria where the car is over the weekend, so the build is well and truly on now

Freshly ported and rebuilt head (thanks JP!):

Re-honed and painted block ready for rebuilding:

Yep, can't wait to get this thing back on the road.

Last time i drove it properly was a year ago, not too long after i had it dyno'd, as there was clearly a problem, and it was doing 230bhp.... sickening considering everything i'd done to it.

So... a year on... when i finally get back into it... i'll be stepping out of a 73bhp clio and into a car that no only have i not driven in a year, but has also almost doubled in power during that time.

You still have to break in the engine so it will be like driving the Clio for a while
