Oil pressure sender has arrived, and im ready for the oil/filter/sender change on Saturday!

Head bolts re-torqued, oil changed to fully synthetic.
Now trying to track a small oil leak, seemed initially from the cam cover seal, but apparently its not, or is slightly on one corner, or the camshaft seal.
I'll order those bits next week and get back to Tonk's garage for a look around.
I will also replace a wobbly cam pulley which I also got now, adu-new.
Hopefully by the end of the month all those small issues will be sorted.

found the equations for calculation of hp through injectors. Although they too have a bit of assumption in them, i managed to get the following out of one run :
5400rpm, 1.15bar had 45.6DC i think on the EV14. This gave on those readings 294hp.
At the same time the PB on a different run shows numbers between 240-290 when similarly the injector calculation showed 280.
I have been getting some feedback on the excel i use that it tends to produce close hp/torque numbers to a rototest dyno which is a hub dyno, when we put no more than 15% losses for transmition on 4 wheel drive cars. I use up to that, because i add separately the tyre losses and airdrag which is not there on a proper dyno, so sometimes the % of losses is exaggerated for those reasons.
Nonetheless, it looks like a nice gadget to get info from!
As my mapping session seems to be postponed again due to the additional checks i need to do, ill try and get some more runs done until then!
I may have to go to Unit 20 for the map, which is further than i wanted, but...what can you do?Comment

small update:
as the schedule for Unit 20 goes well into November, i thought of making a safe 1.4bar map till then and also play around with the boost settings now that the turbo spools faster.
i managed a 3d gear pull as i did previously just for comparison reasons and here are the estimated results:
0.96bar @ 5845rpm gave 290hp
1.45bar @ 5902rpm gave 354hp
now obviously these are only to compare that rpm site, as the best calculated from DC number i got at 1.4bar on a 3d gear pull yesterday gave an estimated 394hp at 6600rpm.
timing was fairly reserved so as not to go after the best outcome, but overall im happy with these. Hoping to get another 60-80hp with 1.8bar and that should be ok!
Also, the spool was nice, I had the desired boost at 3750ish on 3d which is not bad, considering the the N75 DC was trying to keep the boost low. I bet once mapped for 2 it will be quicker!
Sepia phone photo. Not the best, but recent!

I hear that...i would put david bailey to shame when you see my photo's on my phone or camer but when you see them on a screen larger than 4", they look bad!!...Comment

The number of mega pixels does not matter, it is the lens that makes the quality, my first digi camera had only 850 thousand pixels, not even 1 mega pixel, but it had a proper 35mm lens and it took better photos than my 12.5 mega pixel camera I have now.
850 thousand pixels was enough to make a very good image on a 17 monitor at 1024x768 res
of course you could not zoom into the image as you could with a higher mega pixel count but
the image was very good.
All phone cameras suffer the same problem and that is due to the size of the lens
in daylight they are fine as there is plenty of light but take the thing indoors and they are a pile
of crap as they just cant get enough light in through the small lens.Comment

+1 to that.
The problem is just the physical size of the thing. It can only pass through so much light...
My smartphone has an 8 MP camera on it, yet that pixel count is totally useless when half of them are noise.
The blur in that photo is either because it was in dark conditions and the exposure was very long, or because your phone does not have any focus capability

That pic has not focused properly. Some phone cameras are quite slow on the focus or they have some sort of smart focus and then the focus point is always somewhere you don't want. I have a old Nokia N900 with a 5mpix camera and almost all of the pics in my project thread is taken with it.
