      • after spending the last 2 days cleaning, de-rusting, i've started to paint.

after realising spot painting this stuff just looks silly...i've gone the whole shebang! (well the back end so far anyway!)

              • Just for you Jamo!

Here they are in place, although not fully bolted in...dont want to waste the nylocs now haha
quick question though...i cant remember taking them out, so i'm guessing the offset is towards the centre of the car?

and one of my lovely underside!

                • Just in case anyone was wondering my method for de-rusting!

1st stage - Remove chassis sealant
2st stage - wire brush in a drill and give it some! when you hit pockets of rust you get a big puff of brown dust come out...looks cool!
3rd stage - treat with Jenolite (dont get it on your skin!)
                  4th stage - waxoyl

                  • Great shots! Think the mounts are in wrong there shouldn't be the holes showing

                    • I wasn't too sure, may have them on the wrong way around. One is elongated and the hole next to is is just normal, but wouldn't bolt in with them.

                      I'll have another play tomorrow.

But I really think they are great! Can't wait to fire her up

                          • most of that was just for exhaust manifold bolts etc! I love my car

on a happier note...the rear subframe and diff are all back in!

+1 my rebuild bill for nuts 'n bolts was about 5x that then add gaskets and bearings with a few sensors and there's not much change from a grand...

Anyway looking good, I expected to see pics of a rear subframe and diff on the car, yea've had an hour already
