    • omg...
      something else went wrong here!
just like A80Avant said .. some oil line is blocked.

you can say godbye to crank, and find other one, new bearings etc..
what cind of oil did you use when you start the engine first time after reguilt?
did you turn rod in right direction?

      • Yeah, have to strip the block, check and clean the oil lines... I used 10W-40 mineral oil at the first start, changed filter and oil, used 10W-40 mineral ~300km, then changed to 5W-40 fully syntetic.

        • Definitely something is wrong with the oil flow in that engine.
1.5 bar on idle is perfectly normal, your crank is not supposed to turn into something like this at this pressure.

          • I recomend 15w-40 for first start, than run 3 hour on place without termostat, than new oil (15W-40) for first 1000km. than something else (syntetic) .
before few month I have same problem on friends AAN , but his engine stay without oil.
you must check every oil line on engine.

              • Well, I don't think it's the oil pump that would cause this...
Especially if you had OK oil pressure.

                • Want to be safe this time. Should be safe to rev 8000+rpm's with the uprated pump gear. Got all new seals, bearings, bolts etc. Also new crank is on way, made a deal of a second block, forged pistons, rods... Found a place that made full bottom end balancing at a reasonable price... Old block, rods, pistons is going to be a build spare bottom end.

I accidentally bought this set also.

                    • Is this the uprated/coated pump gear that Jyrki supplies?
I reckon there is enough room in the front wheel arch to make a fluid tank for the meth/water?

                      • No, this one is from Kalsket. It's uprated material. I'm not shure if there is some kind of coating on the "teeths", the surface on them is different color though..? Well, it shouldn't broke in pieces so easily.

Havn't think about the tank, behind the front wing it would be some empty space, yes.

                          • Looks like the teeth () are coated, perhaps NiC of DLC which both give a similar color. Judgeing they are it's most likely they are from a high grade of carbon alloy steel. Does Kalsket supply these kind of products? Must get in contact with him then...

                              • Here is a comparision, stock vs. custom:

Don't know if Repo supplies these anymore, but this is ordered from Teppo Kalske: http://speed-autoteile.fi/ He uses one him self, in his track Audi.
