Now when the dark evenings has came and it's raining and raining and raining... I have noticed that the UrS4 halogen lights isn't the best one so I did buy a xenon hid kit(35W H1) and it was just plug and play. Someone had already made holes on the backpanels of the lights, propably have been a hid kit installed before. Neded only to throw everything on it's place, simpple.

Well done...
On my car the xenons are horrible, perhaps I need to change the glasses or buy new headlights.
My omega with it's projector headlights and normal bulbs is way way brighter.

Yeah, my light glasses are also quite blurry. Maybe 100W xenons on the brights would do the job? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPKy1...layer_embedded

Instead of fixing the problem, add so much power that your eyeballs melt out
No, I think the xenons are adequate, just my lights are not in the best condition

Drove to my job, night shift, this evening in dark and rainy weather. Have to say that the difference in light power is enormous! In fact, now you really can see something. A really great update, and a cheap one too.
Dmitri, also the xenon bulbs lose light power when they get old. I have orginal xenons on my -00 bimmer, driven now 330k km. Few months ago one bulb went dead, I ordered a new pair from ebay and they are a lot brighter than the old ones. Same OEM Philips ballasts still in use.

The parking light looked silly with the xenons in yellow color. Changed to white led bulbs:
Normal vs. led

Yes you can strip your headlights to clean them. 5 screws per headlight, and you have whole head light in hand. Then pry clips around headlight glass off, and pry glass off. Reflector part can be pulled off, it's fixed to 4 ball links (because of range control), pull/pry off carefully, just with right use of force (unless you want to CA reflector back to housing, btdt). Use non abrasive products only to clean lenses and reflectors, crome isn't thick, and will come off plastic/metal very easily

Driven now about 3000km after the engine rebuild and it was time for the second and last head stud re-torque/check.
It was a sunny day today, so a carwash was a good idea. Havn't washed the car for a month so it was quite dirty. My friends Foam Lance was a funny device.

The Holset feels nice. Of course full boost could came earlier, but it's a quite big turbo for big hp so it's you have to do compromises. I have spoke with Dmitri about the tuning so propably it's he. Im not 100% sure about the coils, maybe they are 1,8T coils, but I will get a set of "red" TFSI coils before the mapping...
