You are right, he did run 1.8T coils previously. When you start to build real boost 1.8T coils just give up
All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.

The summer is soon here and my summer wheels are in bad shape, so had to do some small refurbishment... The wheels is 8X18" ATP Benzis. You see in the pic the condition is really poor. Finally they are ready for powder coating, it was really a hard work to get rid of the old paint. I used 2 liters of paint remover, had to scrape most of the paint away, hot pressure wash few times and last metalgrain blast them several times. One wheel has also been welded for some reason.

          Tell me about it.

They look nice in the last pic, but it's not the permament look. I carry them for some powder coating. The finish should be dark gray, including the stainless lip's.

It's Porsche even that it's not any Porsche in the car. Forgive me.

Had something to do this weekend... We drop out the engine and take it apart. The head was in quite good shape, and also the bearings. The car has made 280tkm. Only Mr Woody Woodpecker had made a visit. It has probably happend with the owner before me and before the remap. Here is some project pics.

The timing belt was quite loose also. Lucky not harm was done: Video

Yesturday I carry the head to the machine shop for refurb. They also made some light porting and valve angle job...

Got also the flywheel and clutch:

So, I tried to grind the pistons a bit, but it still feeled wrong to put them back in the engine. This was the worst one:

I bought "new" pistons that needed some heavy cleaning as you can see. But after all they was soon almost like new ones.

Today I checked the rod clearences with Plastigauge, and all was between 0.038-0.050, nice.

Tomorrow we hone the cylinders and put togheter the bottom end. One question, in which direction should I put the grooves in the rod bearings? Exhaust or intake side? Can't remember how thay was before when we take all apart.

now I saw that you using H-rods from aromatic2.. so this rods have 2 little wholes for oil cooling on piston side (well done aromatic).
so than you can turn that grooves wherever you want .. like I said all 5 on same side..
                                god luck..

and one more thing .. your "the worst one piston"..
we put in one AAN engine piston which was in much bad shape than yours.. and that was before 4 years. now the car is on rs2 setup (360hp) and work great.. everithing is perfect..
