  • Don't you need pipe work between the maf and air filter?
Thought you get bad readings with a filter directly on the maf

    • This is a RS4 MAF. Should work nice with filter directly fitted on.

Would be nice to have a pipe between MAF and filter
But if you always use the same type of filter, this will be taken account in calibration anyway.

That 4" inlet on the turbo is funny considering the size of the comp wheel.
        Looking good though...

        • Yea, remember you spoke earlier something of fitting the filter straight to the MAF..? Anyway there is not too much space. Propably the filter gona hit the belly plate now already. I can cut a few cm of the piping though.

I have calibrated plenty of setups where people fitted the filter straight to the MAF. And I know there is not much room. It's not 100% ideal, but the MAF does have a mesh and a tube, so that it should operate pretty much correctly.
As long as you don't change the setup around afterwards, it'll be fine.

            Working on a 3" blow-through solution with Pro-M, but it'll be a while until it's ready for prime-time.
Don't worry, we'll get it mapped

              • Really nice build, Like this alot !

just a question? Why do you even use a MAF ? What engine management system do you use?

                  • I see, just saw some VEMS gauges and thought you played with the same EMS as I

                        • Got a used plug&play fuelrail. Had to tune it up a bit, machining the text on it. It sure does 20hp more. Also bored the bungs from 5mm to 8,5mm.

                          • long time I want to ask.. did that "motorsport fuel rail" , mean better performance or what?
what did you get with them? how much is there better than stock one?
                            tnx

                            • I meant the "Motorsport" text does a psychologic + 20hp. The fuel rail itself does like zero hp, but I want to put bigger fuel lines all over, also better flowing FPR so thats why I change the rail.

                              • Nice, psychologic is like 30 brake horse power at least
