I'd say alcantara. Although leather is more robust

Bit of an update. Brian has been working away fitting original SQ wheel tubs and welding in the S2 tunnel to the 80 front shell section. We've now assembled most of the carbon Kevlar body panels and had a bit of a test fit. An original SQ C pillar has also just arrived from Canada so hopefully we can finish the roof structure soon and then the shell will almost be ready for its second dip. Meantime Hank is toiling away on the 07K engine and thinks he's found a new turbo with more grunt / less lag

                        Bit of an update:

Test fit of some old bracing bars. WIll be replaced by nice power coated new ones when ready.

Test fit of seat position to ensure roll cage installation will have sufficient clearance. Just happened to have the RH seat to hand and held the wheel up in the air. The car, of course, will be LHD.

Some custom engine machining going on in the US on the 07k.

Engine with custom bits taking shape: as well as all the internal stuff, have the custom plenum, cam cover and turbo / exhaust installation. Also have a custom VEMs loom but that's a dull picture so not shown!

Soon be time to send the shell for its final dip.
