Yes, as Nick says, it won't give more power, it's only there to keep the vacuum in every situation. If engine dies or if you drive with the toe/heel style with boost up in long distances haha.
Yesturday night I experienced for first time a non start situation when I was leaving from work. Didn't even try to fire on, cranked good though. I was suspecting the hall sender, but had to leave te car for the night. In the morning I took a trigger log with Vemstune and everything was good, all triggers working normal. Now I could smell fuel, so there was no spark. Measured the coils and signal was ok, but the 12V power feed was dead. The power is coming directly from the alternator with a thick wire and there is a 80A relay operated from the orginal coil power feed. Seemd that the relay was dead. Jumped the wires and voilĂ , engine fired up. So I fitted a new relay. A little bit strange though, why a 80A relay melted the tip off? Maybe just china quality..?
