  • There is worse breathing on top, the HP goes flat...
But I don't know if dyno has proper resistance compensation or not.

As for boost coming later, that means the pull is too short. On a good dyno (non-inertial) you can adjust the ramp rate...
You can use my dyno if you want, for a small fee

Cleaning is 30 EUR/h if you blow something up though

    • Yea, only A/R .48 hot side, so I was suspecting top will choke. But then, curve doesn't drop and boost doesn't spike, so is the turbo restricting..? Maybe not, maybe cam setup?

And this is now how it looks.

Turbo fits well, only room for the air filter is little tight. Have to do some kind of 90 degree bend and put the filter lower down.
Hey man, what is the process in regards to fitting the AAN into the 80 engine bay, does it fit on the V6 subframe and engine mounts or do you need some custom engine mounts in there?

              • Also where did you get those heat/ fire resistant oil line covers for the turbo from? Loving the build and saying hi from NZ!

                • AAN fits v6 subframe easily, but engine mounts wont. Make new ones for engine, or get inline5 body engine mount brackets welded in.

                  • Hi thanks for the reply. Would an 80 5 cylinder subframe work with the AAN or would it be best to use the original v6 with custom engine mounts?

                    • Inline5 engine mounts are welded to frame rails, so there is no use to change v6 subframe to inline5 one. I got engine mounts from junk car and welded thwm to frame rails, but i would say it is easier to make new mounts to block to work with v6 mounts.

                        • If you're starting with a v6 subframe, keep it... the 20v SF needs a ~40mm spacer to fit 01E mount arms.
