As I have problems to find a early AAN cam gear(for AAN hall dizzy) I decide to use the AAN head I had in my previous setup. This have the front camgear hall fitting. Had to clean the 5th cyl valve seats as there was some aluminium from the melted piston, but they turned out good, so no problem.

Engine almost ready. Need to put in the cams and fit the IM. Just started to clean the IM for some painting, lol. Also have to make the turbo oil- and cooling lines.

And I have no idea if the exhaust manifold will fit this B4 engine bay..? If someone uses a china stainless manifold like this in a S2 B4/B3 please let me know. My manifold is a exact copy of that china manifold.

It is possible. Without big filter, of course. I used to search photos of such a mani in small chassis engine bay and have found one.

... But the turbocharger size. Still some place for issues left.

Thanks guys, I also tried to find pics of S2 with that stainless manifold from the forum, but couldn't find any. But it seems that it will fit the engine bay, that Nick's manifold looks quite the same in size and flange locations. The turbo is a tiny little piece.

Made a custom bracket for the alternator. As I don't need the aircon compressor and steering/brake pump it would have been diffucult to use the stock AAN brackets with the belt tensioner. So I made a simpple bracket with an old style manual tensioner.

That is a nice looking B4! Good to know about the manifold, seems to fit well.

I too had one of those ebay manifolds on a S2 avant but with standard turbo. Seemed to work well for the money. My car had the manifold, turbocenter Stockholm chips, a 3" exhaust inkl downpipe built by me. Alot more responsive than a car with standard mani.

Intake manifold was cleaned of old paint and ultrasound washed. It got a new thin layer of heat resistant black color. New EV14 injectors found there place. Engine is now finished and waiting for install. Started to strip the UrS because I need the flywheel and clutch from it...
