Dave just go to a local bolt and bearing suppler they should be able to get the bolts you need also if you have any problems you can go to them and speak to them face to face. Get a Digital vernier caliper and a metric thread gauge that will help you a lot. Your bolts go M10-1 M10-1.25 M10-1.50 M10-1.75 The finer being M10.1 mm. Maybe that helps a little. Regards Lynn.

Thanks very much. That info wasn't on 7zap. Are they fine thread? I have a normal thread m10 and it wont go in.

i can mesure the thread on 2 bolts tommorow. but honestly i think its the normal thread

You were correct. Normal M10 thread. There was some corrosion on the start of the thread which was causing the problem. All cleaned up and good now.

I hope you didn't forget to mount the braket that holds the steering damper. If not they need to come out again

I did mount it but is it meant to go on the inside of outside of the tie for bracket? Bear in mind my car is RHD and LHD is different set up. It's not clear on 7zap.

It’s gone together like this. Hope it’s good.


Threads had gone on the damper to body mount so I had to put a longer bolt in and an additional nylock nut just above it.

Just a small update. Lots of work but not much to show for it!

Finished my brake pipes


Hopefully all heading in the right direction!


I made a mount for the abs pump. I was missing one and welded something up from my scraps box. Found a rubber bung that fitted inside and it all came together nicely.

Ah, I see. I guess that's why the long pipe in the pic on the left of the shield wants to head down into the bottom corner? I take it there should be a grommet it passes through via one of the holes?
