    Fresh battery, no start.
Starter clunks but does not spin
Removed starter and checked operation, works ok
    Cleaned starter contacts
Car starts (MAF sensor unplugged as leak testing)
    Leak test
Intake manifold still hitting power steering pump bracket
    Clearance power steering pump bracket
    Tighten intake manifold
    Leak test, now holding 30psi
    Refit MAF
Car does not start (engine spinning over)
    Unplug MAf
Car does not start (engine spinning over)

No signs of firing when spinning, almost fired a couple of times as I let go of the starter and throttle.

Fuel gauge is showing just above the red, so I am going to get some fuel and then try again.

    I have TFSI coils, 06E 905 115E

These ones need trimmed as per Dave

    Should mine be trimmed?

Random thought, should I have trimmed those coil packs to make them sit down further?

    Injector kit + spare seals

    Removing injector filter

    Old filter v new

Removing pintle cap with a trim tool

New o rings, filter, spacer and cap

    Back together

Fitted the injectors with the new seals, same leaks, fitted the blue seals instead and less leaks, gave them a wiggle whilst under pressure and they stopped leaking.

Fired the car up, had to use the throttle, sounds silky smooth at 2k+, wont idle, sounds like its not running on all cylinders at low RPM. Took it for a drive, drives perfectly at part throttle if kept above 2k, bogs below that, goes great as it starts to build boost, falls flat on its face about 5psi, feels like a boost leak and goes rich.

Drove back home and then it died about 10 times in a row trying to manoeuvre into the drive, eventually would not start (battery voltage dropped), winched it back into the garage and left it in disgust.

So tomorrow after work its boost leak test, pull codes, check over and hope for the best. (battery on charge tonight)

Good job, ano spares are useful. I think it's probably just driving in a big circle at up to 130mph for.hhours on end that has done the tyres in. My RSRs are pretty melted looking.

Injector O rings have been ordered from 2 sources, both due tomorrow to cover any delays, spares will not go amiss anyway.

Brakes bled, flushed through 1L of Motul RBF 600

Took pity on one of the wheels, brake dust is pish to get off

This is the NSF tire, the outer edge is feathered as you would expect, the middle is also feather at an angle, is this when the tyre has got too hot, ballooned and then pretended to be a motorbike tyre?

    I also weighed my wheels out of curiosity;

    16x7.5 avus 205/55/16 16.7kg
    17x8 avus 234/45/17 21.8kg
    17x8 BBS RX 235/45/17 21.8kg
