    ECU fun time

    Connector out

    Plug opened

Pins out, new coil wires run in.

    Pins back in

Coil loom through a handy grommet

Coils, a new low of photography even from me. Power supply into the old coil plug courtesy of Alex's research, used the original pins just swapped the plug.

Started modifying the AAN cam cover for a breather vent

Some Motul RBF600 will hopefully help with brake fluid problems

I need to finish the internal vents in the cam cover breather, swap the cam cover, check the head studs torque and hopefully she will fire right up.

I took the S2 out for a run today just to check it still worked

It was not the happiest when cold, but went fine once it was warmed up. I am questioning the need for a bigger turbo, chipped RS2 spec is plenty fast on the road, and could get you in more than enough trouble, I would imagine the next track day will return the thirst for power (plus the work van has about 80hp, so S2 feels like a beast )

Looks like I missed washing one door

    Current plan is

Fit ABY ecu, COP conversion and run the car as chipped RS2
    Track day
Fit wagner intake, loom extensions etc
Fit Eboost, adjust to hold current redline boost
    Fit new clutch
    Fit ABY rack
    Fit new gearbox
    Fit new turbo
    Make 3" downpipe
    Fit 3" exhaust
    water injection (if bought)

Drive to Automark, fit injectors and live map!

I want to get the car running as coil on plug RS2 spec first, so if there are any issues I know where to look, then same again with loom extensions, then turbo etc. If there are multiple changes at once then troubleshooting can be more difficult.

Yup its getting there, just need and ecu!

Yeah Automark, I asked PRJ when he would next be in the UK and he never replied, a bit easier to get a map tweak for Mark anyway, MRC is £1200, you can have vems installed and mapped for that which was the other option, but I dont have time to learn to tune, I just want to drive it.

Yes, thinking of water meth, not to map for more power, just for stable IAT and hopefully no power loss through heat soak.

Nice collection of bits you are amassing there
I guess with the e-boost there you are going to use Automark?
Are you planning on using WMI?

Eboost street organised by martinws to ensure a genuine one at a good price, thanks.

Also have a set of 7A cams again, so leave the stock cams in, fit 7A exhaust cam or fit both 7A cams?

    Thoughts on a postcard.

    Billet k26 arrived!

    Billet wheel

Looking in the coldside outlet, you can just see the bottom of the wheel

    Slightly more clearance for flow?

It was a bit of an epic collection, getting stuck in a field, clearing logs, towing the engine across a field on a pallet, vans gear linkage breaking and loosing reverse and most of the forward gears, plus a 300 mile round trip
