Any reason? I guess fuel pressure regulator is more available for ABY clip in?

Yep, although I switched to an ABY fuel rail while I was at it

Also have an AAN valve cover coming

I presume I can continue to use the 7a fpr as it is 4 bar same as ABY?

I have never done a clutch with the engine in, I assume it should go

    unbolt;
    downpipe
    prop
    driveshafts
    gear linkage
procon 10 cables (going to be a PITA?)
    clutch slave
    gearbox mounts

    and pop the gearbox out

    Any tips or suggestions?

Too bad VDO don't make a wideband guage.

Wideband was installed a couple of months ago (AEM), boost guage is Rusty's stock look gauge, EGT is an ebay special

These precision auxiliary instruments combine digital microprocessor accuracy with a high precision stepper motor needle movement to provide a new level of accuracy and reliability in 52mm gauges. All gauges come complete with wiring harness and associated sensor.

Thanks Nick, but I dont have the time to learn VEMS, though it is tempting.

I emailed Mark my spec list for him to look over last night and he called to discuss today. If I want a hassle free mapping session he said to fit the ABY ECU setup and there is no potential for lead breakdown, spark hop etc. Also to get an eboost street for boost control.

    So I need
    ABY ECU
    coils
    coil loom
    ABY cam cover

    eboost street

i use also vems, bought a plug&play kit from efi express with wideband, egt sensor and vems round wideband gauge, cool stuff
this is the first time I've programmed a standalone ECU in my car
the ECU was provided with a program that the engine could be started with
the rest i programmed myself,i just try a few things(with my own knowledge) and see what the results ware
it is provided with a "LIVE VE ANALYSER", this is a self-learning program for you ve table, very easy to use
you also find enough support on the internet or forums
i have no experience with other standalone ecu"s

I reckon there's enough space between the wings for a custom airbox, I did think about doing that myself when I had a cone filter fitted.

Hmm, that's got me thinking I could sell my RS2 airbox if I did that.

Yep, VEMS is only appealing if your can map it yourself, I don't have either the IT or tuning know how to even make a start, guess it's just a case of learning but the cost if you make a mistake could be silly
Yup, I dont want a garret with amazing spool ******** itself every other year. They also dont deal well with over spinning (eg pop a boost hose etc)

My current set up is great, but I want it mapped so its "free" (man maths, buy the billet k26 and sell the rs2). More powah is always better

I dont have time for another hobby, I want to fit the bits and wail on the car, not tune it. Also as you say it would be easy to ruin it all.
