Hmm, Clifford though, anything is possible! See if you can trace the immobiliser circuits up to the fuse board and see if there is one to 87a.
if so check there is continuity across the immobiliser loop

Yeah, I was pretty excited, bouncing about the garage!
So fitted the exhaust which went smoothly.
Filled with water to run up to temperature, idles ok, clattery tappet, but I hope that will clear once it has been run up to temp/revved slightly. Plugged a massive vacuum leak in the intake manifold (large vacuum take off under the 3 small ones at the back of the intake manifold?)
Revved it as it was warming up and water pissed out somewhere.
So switched off for the night.
Water pump is leaking
Something is leaking
Something else is leaking
So glad I used water first
Front end will come off to replace the water pump seal, and hopefully see the rest of the leaks.
I swapped the chipset into your ecu and she fired right up. I dont know if I fried the other ecu when poking about in the fusebox.
I had swapped the flywheel sensors as well.
So possibly the flywheel sensor was intermittent, so I got some fuel at the rail, but no start, then I shorted the ecu, then swapped the crank sensor, then swapped the ecu?
The other ecu started just blowing the fuse as soon as the ignition went on, so I assume an internal short?
Possibly a bit of wire or solder in there from when the MAP sensor was changed? Worth taking it apart and checking for debris. Look under the lower board too.
