Did you buy it as a stainless exhaust? Is so I would take it back and see what they say.

Yaiks. Even if welded with a MIG/MAG welder and normal shield gas, why not used stainless wire? That would have been ok if the welds would have been polished.

Needed to get the aircon pipes that have perished. All from audi tradition of course as they are obsolete. 547€ in total.

Ouch. Can you get an AC hose specialist to make some up using the OE hose ends?

I asked here locally. Apparently they cannot guarantee they will work as it's gas going through rather than oil or fuel. Also the ends are a bit funny. They weren't sure they could reuse them. I think in Greece it would have been done much cheaper. Lots of areas have told me they are doable

At least those hoses were the oldest thing on the car that hadn't been changed so I knew the time was near..

Bought off eBay. There are 4 more available. 150£ which is quite good price and it's flat bottom.

My car being a 1995 model had minor differences with regards to the airbag and horn plate so I re - used the old one. Works nicely.

What is is like driving with a flat bottomed wheel compared to a normal one?

Not much difference to be honest. Maybe easier to get in and out the car if your knees hit the wheel

Yeah. Always liked the looks of a flat bottom more than the usual. This was the cheapest and already in black alcantara. Perfect match for my car.
