Paying for a stainless system and getting one with mild steel welds would really boil my piss, they may as well of used mild for the whole thing and done it for half the price.
I built the center section for mine from MS as I don't have access to a TIG, cost sod all but it's looking pretty rough after 9 months, it should last a few years though.1989 B3 2.0 3A 80 quattro... Budget 1.8T Project.

What you have there is a scrap exhaust by the sound of it, since the welds will rot out in around 2 years and the rest of the pipe is useless as once you've cut out the rotten welds you may as well start again to get it to fit. So really, I'd want it done again or all of your money back.

I know who did it and I'm suprised, I've seen their work before and it's been really good. Like I said, take it back, it's not what you asked for.sigpic

here are a 3d and 4th gear on my usual slight inclined street.
on the VDR the addition from whp to crank is around 100hp from previous experience, so after the 3inch setup (which AAS here in newcastle managed to sort out perfectly with the back box replacement) im happy to say that high rev EGTs are slightly better and perhaps the car is a touch more lively.
On the exhaust front, all of the catback has been welded with mild steel and sprayed.
how many people here think i should be naming the place? anyone interested pm me for now.
