    • they are both mounted underneath and poke up through the hole in the frame...
Hope this makes it look alittle clearer

The worry I have is that both mounts are mounted the same way yet the diff bolts to one side of one mount and the other side of the other mount..

            • Got abit more done from the last update.

Received a box from quattrostyle with my new HD lower arm bushes.
Quickly put the press to good use again and pressed them all in.

              Fitting the new ball joints.

Fitted new diff seals.. the small one from TPS. (Sorry for the blurry images!)
              Removed the flange

              Pulled out the old seal

              New seal driven in

              Refit the flange

s2spike sent me the other diff seal and a set of coilpack boots!

              Rear subframe being built up.

Finished off under sealing the last wheel arch so refitted all the plastics and trims, mounted the KW's and refitted the brake lines with refurb'd brackets.

              Also fitted the steering arms.

Hopefully I'll get the rear subframe fitted back onto the car tomorrow evening. More photos then.

              • Looking really good mate, looks nice and clean.

What ton is that press? Does it do wheel bearings?

                • It's only a 10 tonne press, will press bearings in fine but to remove them you need to start the bearings off (I use a 3 pound lump hammer) then its fine.

                  • Looks like you are really getting there Tim I loved bolting mine back together after the refresh, everything all clean and shiney! You'll find that rear assembly is quite a heavy lump to refit
Is the engine & box ready to go back in when you're ready?

                    • No not yet, the gearbox is ready minus the CV joint covers. After I've fitted the rear subframe it's then full steam ahead to build the engine as that still hasn't been touched. Once that is done it will be onto the front subframe and then finish off tidying up odds and ends.

I must admit it is nice bolting new and cleaned bits back together. the only grease I have to worry about now is Bl***y CV grease

                          • Managed to torque everything up on the rear end this evening so next step will be to finally build the engine. I'll get some more pictures up when I've sorted bits and bobs out.

                            • Took a couple of days off this week to start building the engine.
First off I need to say a BIG thank you to Lee Barnes @ Barnes auto for the use of his workshop and knowledge.

As plans had changed I decided to re-strip the head and change all the valve guides. What a PITA this turned out to be but with the new guides in
and the seats re-cut it was time to rebuild the bottom end.

I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Then after the head was on, back up to my unit to put a few more bits on.

                              Cheers.
