Well, it has been there quite a lot... but not always of course. Got the AX for free from my work mate, it didn't start, but I got it ghetto fixed, had to mod the starting motor a bit. I'll guess it's ok for a free car.

Officially I change the heater matrix. Decide to teke out the engine, much easier that way.

Heater matrix... what a pita. Taking out the engine is like a walk in the park.






Now when everything is exploded all over it was also a good time to fit the short shifter I had sitting in the shelf. Drilled a extra hole in the linkage to make it even shorter... Feels quite quick and solid, and the reverse seems to go in like normal.

C4 Heater Core (Matrix) replacement DIY

For future reference, there was zero need to remove the center console to do the heater core/matrix. I have posted this link here before:

Like your ´quickshifter, is it a homemade one? dosen´t seem to exist anymore at a normal price except 034 ones that costs a fortune...

I look't at that instruction, but this is without aircon so I couldn't remove the mechanical cabels without taking apart the center console.

This is a 034 version. Got it cheap used from spink, it was from a parted/scrapped car.

Ooo...did not notice that. Too bad. Oh well, you turned it (removing in the console) into a plus.

FYI, "034's" short-shift kit was designed by "Billzcat" (Richard Hoffmann). Billzcat originally supplied the kits himself but for a number of reasons got out of Audis and "sold" the design to 034 who now market as their own.

I had the same Turkish sauna in my old 3b car... 2.0 bar boost with rs 2 turbo ,3b injectors 13.3 AFR and the head gasket get destroyed in the FIVE cylinders my mechanic never saw anything similar in his entire life.

It was dark, I was alone in the car,testing in a private road I thought that I was to die ,eaten by the fire inside the car quickly I left that **** thinking that the car will be ready to explode
