True. I have had really difficult to get the engine work properly. One issue was that the rings didn't want to seat. The car smoked like this, the only difference was that the smoke was blue. Then I burn't a ex-valve. Well, the problem seemed to be that my valves are shaped to much, the contact surface to the seat ring is too narrow, it heats up and burn the valve. Propably this was the issue when Dmitri was here first time and we "blow" the engine..? So now what I did was that I lighly honed the cylinders, changed the head(with stock valves), put in dino oil and abused the car badly. It smokes a lot less now, in fact it seems that is smokes lesser the more you beat the car. On heavy wot you can't see blue smoke anymore in the rear mirror. Only on idle if you start to pump the gas, then you can get some blue smoke puffs, like in this vid: http://koti.mbnet.fi/pro-ht/Audi_URS...617_142342.mp4
I can't belive these JE-rings have been so hard the get seated. It had really been a nightmare, and my motivation has been gone for a while. I had no probems with stock pistons and rings in my first build. No oil consumption at all. Now I don't gona baby the car before Dmitri has mapped it. Only one issue for now, the 1:st gear has started to whine a little so have to be little lighter on it...

Funny thing is, it has been running just fine on the very same map I made in what, 15 minutes last time and on which the engine failed after the 2nd pull or something :/

It has a perfectly safe e85 tune atm, maybe alround 400hp..? Not close to it's full potential. Soon hope to get it mapped ready.

Well, we see next week what Dmitri has got out of it... if it holds up. Yes, no real need to change pistons for 600hp, but then again many use aftermarket pistons for less hp... I guess changing pistos will bring some reliability, and then, you never know when you want to go the monster turbo route.
