There was aftermarket relay in where 328 relay is in the picture, and that plug was opposite to that.

This has red/black wires, could it be that that relay it was connected to was in between ignition and the starter motor?

          LOL, too true.

          We're all guilty on here.

          One is never enough.

Got the engine to crank when I try to start it, but it still doesn't run. Checked the spark plugs and they were dry, so injectors ain't opening. Because my laptop is being **** I can't connect it to the car for some ****ing reason even though I could on my other car, I thought I'll take out the G28 sensor and while trying to take it out I ****ing broke it, so now I have a metal tube in a hole I cant get out Can't take the whole bracket off becuse them bolts seem to be welded in there + access is complete ****.

              And breathe!!

Immobilisers usually break 2 circuits. One from the ignition switch and often the fuel pump. We're there any wires from the immob going off anywhere else? Maybe in the direction of the loom near the ECU?

Try tapping the sensor bracket bolts with a hammer and drift, carefully so as not to break anything then try again with socket or spanner

                    G4 and G28 Maintenance

I am really starting to doubt your capabilities with a wrench and/or patience performing a task. Obviously you forced things without first trying some anti-rust/corrosion sprays down there.

Access to the G4 and G28 on an AAN is not crap (far better than the knock sensors - at least you can see the G4 and G28). BTW most G28 error codes are false and the G28 is almost never a suspect in a non-starting situation. Your issue is likely down to the after-market immobilizer.

                    G4 and G28 Maintenance:

If access is crap how did I take this photo?

I can't see any wires from the immobilizer, seems like they all been already taken care of. I can't see any loose wires apart from the green/brown one. Ignition switch plug seems untouched, everything is original. Ignition is giving 12v signal for the starter motor, but starter motor isn't getting it.

Have to do something, gotto take a break though

Laptop wise, it connects ok, shows that it's connected, but when I go onto engine it thinks for a bit and just says no response from the controller.

Sorry to semi-hijack the thread, but I cannot read the engine module via VCDS on my S6 at the moment, even when the engine is running. All other modules (ABS, HVAC etc) connect without a problem. Will be interested to see if this throws up any answers for me
