So decided to make some kinda heat shielding for the connectors that controls the trigger signal for the coils.
Used a KN power blanket and then I had to use my arts and craft skills
And here is shot with the heat shield blanket thingy
Also made the new Turbosmart Solonoid ready for installation. However I do need some new fittings for the valve since the current hose nipples only accept 5mm hoses, kinda crappy.
Made a small bracket that holds that valve in place:
Wagner IC is now installed, will take some pictures soon.
RS2 IM - Bought a RS2 IM from Jamo and it arrived today, nice Need to get it installed.
Considering removing my aircondition since it aint working and has not been for a while. I dont want to spend the cash on fixing it.
My idea is to remove the condensator, the climate compressor and piping.
I would leave the blower and the digital control unit in, so that I can still control airflow if this is possible?
I'm a bit unsure if this would work, just removing the aircon parts and the using the system as a non aircon system?
When I had it off I discovered that the bracket that holds the dizzy was loose. Pretty nice find since this turned out to be way I was having boost cut at high RPM's.
Got a stud welded on the IM and made a new bracket for the fuel pressure regulator:
IM installed, still some work left:
The RS2 IM moves the location of the TB, so had to cut and reweld the intake pipe. I added to 20mm pieces:
Actually the TB is also higher so it aint possible to use the old mounting points. So instead I welded on a bush, that fits over the threaded pin.
Also had to cut and weld the cruise control bracket to get it to clear the dizzy.
Wow, that's quite some fixes to be made once you swap to a RS2 IM from a 3B IM. While you are there you could also alter the route of this silly fuel line hoovering over the RS2 IM....
