There is no difference between B5 S4 and the B5 2.5 TDI linkage. Same body shell, same gearbox style.
I have no first hand experience yet, but from what I have read:
- V6 front driveshafts should be a straight fit with S2 hubs (lucky for me) otherwise gearbox flanges can be swapped from the original box (I already have a 01E 5spd)
- gearbox is about 25mm longer, so the prop shaft needs to be shortened
- V6 subframe should be good for the 6 spd, otherwise there can be a 40mm spacer needed on one of the gearbox mounts
- gear linkage should be shortened by 40mm
