    Struggling to find in Bentley.

This is a thread about it : https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...river-1722569/

Tool is 2062, a quick Google on that give you this thread:

    https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-...st-lip-340958/

Which suggests 5.5mm or 8mm(!), and that you could use the old seal to push the new one in.

Fit to 5.5 and make sure the drive flange seal land lines up?

I got mine from Audi. I think they were £4 each.

Fair point. Are they supplied by main stealers only? I can't find any elsewhere online

I read some have 're used with no issues but they aren't that expensive so why take a risk?

    Corteco which are OE.
Not sure about a thread. I haven't found one. You need new flange bolts and I believe they are 10nm plus 90. They are stretch and shouldn't be 're used. The rest is fairly simple but I did forget to measure the gap to 're seat the seal as per the old one. Did this on my Avant but it was nearly four years ago now

I tend to go with corteco, just look up the size on the side of the seal, or match part numbers up and the parts catalogue gives you the sizes.

    I didn't measure
It was about 5mm inside the edge. There is a stop further in. So it doesn't go to the stop?
Hopefully, there is a mark left where the old seal sat. Have you got the Bentley measurement?

    Yep, mine were tight too!

Did you measure how deep it was in? Bentley gives a specified depth, and a special tool to install... I ignored and put it flush, and found it rubbed on the drive flange, was able to tap it in a bit further...

Cool. Thanks. I’m continually referring to threads on the forum for advice.

This seal didn’t want to come out without a fight.
