    • I need the complete wiring harness from the fuse box back. I think it has a yellow connector at the fuse box.

One good tip is to simply remove all fuses and relays before you apply battery for the first time... then insert them one at a time as you check things out in sections - working up to the engine and ECU as the last item to power up... get all the lights, instruments and other ancillaries working first. That way you limit the amount of pain and complexity in a mostly modular fashion - not like the B3/B4 is quite that elegant but you get the point.

Don't forget to add a fuse for the front washer pump - Hans und Franz forgot that in the factory.

Sorry I misunderstood - thought you were looking for an actuator... you mean this harness ?

The whole thing is 8A9971726B looks like to me - not sure if this goes all way to the CEP or whether it mates with the rear vehicle loom somewhere around back seats.

I just looked it up....it's the "wiring harness for central locking and anti-theft warning system". Lots of choices under that subset. It looks like the one I need is 8A9 971 807 AL.

Got them Alex! Thank you. You guys are the best!

I wish I had a euro for every hit on my thread. I could have built quite a few RS2s by now.

@Tom - I almost certainly have the water hoses in good condition - OE items taken off my ABY when upgraded to Samco some years back - they are in a box uhhhh somewhere... expect lots of folk here have those.

I was going to sell my ABY sized intercooler if thats any use to you in the short term - I am going up to Carsten RS2+ version - maybe you are too unless you want everything stock ?

I will have the radiator air ducts as well from mine - not sure if same on ABY Coupe as RS2 though - will need to check that.

I have two spare bombs as well (aka hydraulic accumulator) - no idea if either is perfectly healthy but happy to throw one your direction FOC if you are struggling to find a new one.
