Alex, as promised......snapped a pic of the left front RS2 duct on my B2 90q over the weekend. Looking through the cob webs the zip tie location can be seen.

Hey Patrick, yes it is. It uses the cast wishbones, B2 FARB setup, and the later 2-pcs struts with coil overs.

I have an old set that kept falling off or kept getting caught on bumps etc., but I've still got them - I have a question - is there an alternative to the brass nut? dimensions would be appreciated.

Yes there's a solution if you don't have the originals brass nut.
Just buy a couple of stainless steel of "closed nuts" like these:



Cut off part of the rounded head (try them on the plastic duct recess to see how much) and you end up with a perfect fit by fixing them upside down.

Thank you Veneto RS2 - yes you are crystal clear. My only challenge is that the plastic duct recess is damaged (don't ask how), but I've tried repairing that and will give your recommendation a try - much appreciated.

Renewing registration plate lights

I knew they had been dangling by the wires ever since I got the car back from the painters. That has been years ago and I guess I just got used to seeing the light like that. It bothered me for a while and then somewhere along the way I stopped noticing them. About a week ago I looked at the car and thought "why have I waited so long to do something about those lights?" Today was the day......and about time too!

All the needed parts. Bought them all from the local Porsche dealer as they were all sourced from the 964 and the 993.



The protective rubber boot. At first glance I thought I saw Audi rings in there.....looking closer I realized that was three rings and not four.

The shields are S2/RS2 specific.

The purpose is to keep the heat from the manifold off the cold side of the turbo and the charge line running along side the valve cover.

I had snapped a couple of pics of the heat shields before they went on the motor just for this reason.
