    hey thomas,
crimped is probably a better term..... http://www.earls.co.uk/earls/hoseends/swage.html they secure these types of fittings to the pipework..... but I see you haven't finished the pipes....

how easy was it to bend?...I have heard some types of stainless can be hard to bend

    • It was quite easy to bend, but hard to get them fit nice in the engine bay, tight place to route them... I'm going to use pressure fittings, something like this:

      • What tools did you used to bend them? Can you post ID and thickness please? Make also some pictures of the fittings you are going to use please.
        Go Holset or Go RS4

A cheap tube bender, like this: The pipe is stainless 12x1mm, ID 10mm. I'll take pics of the fittings if I remember.

Hehe, well I like project threads with pics. If there is no pics it's worthless. There is also only 24h in a day, and I have had lot's to do last couple of months... Have to move to another garage this week, then holiday trip to Italy... so it's really going to be tight.

Today everything was ready to get the engine in, but then my friend show'd up to the garage and ask me if I don't going to change the clutch release bearing..? Of course it's needed to change it, it's propably the orginal bearing with 280tkm. Luckily I already got a new one, but now the work shift starts, so it's a job for tomorrow.

Again I have to go to the work for the evening, but now the engine bay looks like this:

Great to hear. I'm suspicious about it, but we see. Propably after 6 months we need to take it apart anyway..?

                              • This week was hard, had to move to another garage, and it's sick how much stuff have bank up in so short time...

Today I finally had some time for the car. Did fit the big maf air intake, and it's really tight. Had to remove some material from the bumper to fit the filter. Well, it should be a good position to suck fresh air.
