All the sump bolts got cleaned and painted.
These are available from Autodoc for a reasonable price. They are original fit for the S2 and S6. The Audi rings have been ground off. Get yours whilst they are still available.

I’m waiting for parts so made a start on the fuel lines. This is the worst bodge I have ever seen.
Anyway. All the old lines have been binned. The front connectors cleaned up nicely.
The rear connector is corroded. I can’t find a replacement.
Or if anyone knows where I can get one of these in the uk?
I will flare new cunifer pipe and re use the fittings (which are stainless). It’s a shame Audi didn’t use stainless pipe.
Not sure what to do with my dmfw.

Well I've ordered one from the USA. £20 all in was worth a punt. Getting a new pipe made will be £60 at least.
Postie on strike so no parts coming today . Off to the engineering place for them to assess my flywheel. Fixing these cars isn't cheapNothelle S2 Avant

I’ve definitely seen worse fuel lines than that!
One car on here had repairs on both lines at almost every clip, and bits of line a foot long missing, bypassed in rubber.Last edited by newsh; 26 August 2022, 15:10.

At last the 2nd gasket turned up.
I used a little rtv. Belt and braces job.
I found a new o ring for the oil pick up.
It all went back together no problem.

As I said to someone on the classic-audi forum regarding clutch changes "do it right do it once" if it's not been apart before then all these seals and components will be 25+ years old so not to change them whilst the box is out seems crazy to me even if the costs add up a bit it's certainly much cheaper in the long run to simply do the lot in one hit.
Nice to see the flywheel resurfaced, it needed doing from what I could see of the before pic.
Good tip on the slave cylinders, I'd like to grab a couple myself whilst they're available especially given my RS2 is going to be getting a new clutch before it see's the road again. I guess I need to download the App onto my phone and familiarise myself with it, but just to be be clear Monday is when they offer the best discount and how much does one need to spend to get free postage?1989 B3 2.0 3A 80 quattro...
