    • Nothing fancy happend here. Have been quite busy, so no time in garage... Had the AEL block home from the machine shop to measure the deck height. Have to shim off 1,3mm to get 0,8mm piston to head squish. Now then I have been waiting a week againg for the block. They will block off the oil return channel in the rear part and machine/recurface the deck. Hope to get it soon. But in the mean time:

          • 0.8mm head to piston sounds light Thomas. I always aim for 0.95 to 1 mm.

Yea, wan't to test with quite tight squish. Only small part of piston area, if not good then it's easy to machine off 0.1-0.2mm.

                    • No any real progress here, but always something small... Got the block from the machine shop finally. Painted it black, so it looks little better now.

7A head got some treatment, head bolt holes bored up from 11,2mm to 12,5mm.

Haha, bought a automatic welding mask from ebay. Dead cheap 20e incl shipping, we shall see if it's any good. It sure look funny.

You can affect the torsen ratio by changing the flat pin bearings to steel washers, or if there already is washers then you can change to different material washers.

Alex, a work mate did those some time ago, I had few blocks and heads.
