Return of the beast

Well, its been a long time since I sold my old S2, not been on here very much since as life got busy! 2 kids, a business blah blah blah.

However, I have managed to find and purchase my old car back. Its in virtually the same condition I sold it, minus a good working engine and turbo etc.

All the parts that I fitted are still on it, the body work is in fairly good condition and interior is complete and ok.

I have many plans, but the first was to fit a new bonnet cable grommet as there wasn't one and swap out the 3B headlights for some brand new genuine ABY units.

Engine is being changed to an 07k with either GTX3842R or GTX4202R, indirect injection and keeping a modern version of Motronic. I know a good tuner that will be able to sort it Target is 800PS and 800Nm - shouldn't be too hard.

Other than that a 6 speed S4 gearbox, some B7 S4 rear brakes and AP 6 pot front brake setup it will remain the same. Once I drive it, im sure the **** Koni shocks will be changed for H&R coilovers and then the body will get treated to some love.

pictures aren't pretty as it needs a good detailing. But it's not bad, can't wait to light the tyres up and drive it hard again.

Nice job so far.

Looking forward to how you get on with sticking one into a B4 over here, compared to the USA.

My ultimate goal.

Photos and details will be appreciated by all of us on here.

Thanks.

I will create a build thread once I have the time to dedicate to it. For now it was more a case of finding it and buying it back. I will be slowly building a collection of parts to start getting an engine built up and probably do that over the winter. Then fit it all in place, just some wires to the ECU and engine and fire it up. OK, so it wont be quite that simple. but it shouldn't be that bad.

UR will never be finished. I have new suspension to fit, bushes etc etc. I have a TTRS 07k sat at work for the UR. Going to fit that and keep the FSi stuff. Something a bit different. It will be the proper conversion and done neatly.

Great to hear you got it back, I remember seeing it at a1rallysport about 4 years ago too. Looking forward to seeing the build come together
