Small update from the garage..

Seems like the old girl has a few leaks here and there.

Major one seems to be coming from the top of the oil pump. Likely the gasket.
However there are leaks from the camshaft seal, oil cooler and pipes, rocker cover gasket.

I will be getting a new oil cooler and pipes made, replacing any offending part and see how it goes...

It's an aftermarket one. 13 row. I think my car caught the ebola virus and is leaking oil from everywhere!! Haha

I popped in and saw the car Saturday mate, it seems like Pete has had a good look at it and has everything under control, the cambelt was certainly wet with oil so good that you didn't drive it down. Looks great under the bonnet though Is that a Sport Q EM or Wagner Sport Evo?

So, how did you make the "notch bottom" steering wheel? Did you have the OEM wheel underneath bent before recovering, or something else?

That is an original SQ manifold. I have a wagner SQ as a replacement when this one cracks beyond repair.

Thanks for having a look. Pete has promised to seek and stop all leaks for me so I trust him to do a good job. Unfortunately it turns out to need more work than originally planned.

The steering wheel was bought from eBay for about 150euro. It came dressed in black alcantara but I have no idea how they do it. I suppose they do bend an original wheel to make it.

After a replacement of a oil pump gasket where the biggest leak was coming from, the sump gasket, camshaft gasket, camshaft belt, oil cooler and high pressure pipes and a hefty lightness of my pocket the car now has no leaks.
I'll be picking her up this Saturday finally..

Now the battery issue only remains but I have some things to try on this one..
